I’ve had this case for three years now and I can say it is a huge relief for me knowing it’s a lot safer both in and out of the Magic Keyboard which I use all the time. I have never dropped the iPad before so I don’t know its ability to protect it from a fall. (I’m sure there are other reviews talking about that) Over the time that I’ve had this case, there are two things You Should Do and Know If You Plan On Buying This Case. The first and for me the most important thing to do is take the case off once in a while! If you leave the case on for extended periods of time, around 2 or three months straight, random bits of dust, debris and LIQUID will set stuck behind the iPad and the case. These liquids are usually water, juices, sauces. These liquids get trapped and fester in the small gap for months and in time the liquids will EAT AWAY AT THE METAL OF THE IPAD, resulting in small dots and craters in the metal, being especially visible if you have a space grey iPad. This is Not the fault of the case, rather the mystery liquids dissolving the aluminium. The best and easiest way to fix this is to take the case off once every one or two months and clean the back of the case and the iPad. If you spill something and you see it touching the iPad, take the case off and clean it immediately, just so you can be sure it wont melt you iPad. The second thing you should know is if you are using this case with the Magic Keyboard. (which I think you will) over a long time, usually a year or more, the notch/tab on the longer edge of the case on the side with the camera hole will constantly be rubbing agains the rubber of the Magic Keyboard just below track pad (when the Magic Keyboard is closed). Over time this tab/notch will rub the rubber down to the metal, looking like a smallish cut. I don’t think there is any way to prevent this from happening, unless you transport the iPad separately from the Magic Keyboard. Outside of these two issues there are no other problems I’ve ever had with the case in three yours. if you are interested in buying the case I would recommend you buy it, just be sure you regularly clean the iPad and case and are comfortable with having a little blemish on your Magic Keyboard.
